Who is Jesus Christ? Jesus Christ is the son of God. Born of the virgin Mary. He is the product of God’s love, the second person in the trinity. He is fully human and fully God.
I chose the introduction of our Lord Jesus Christ as my very first post on FAITH MATTERS here in this blog for some reasons.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace,longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law
Galatians 5:22
(1) There are many people out there who really do not know Him appropriately, and therefore do not know exactly how to approach Him and whether or not to do so. I thought it will be wise if we all could begin here, to refresh our minds once again and fall right back in Love with Him again as it was when we first met Him.
(2) Because repentance to me, is an ongoing process, I wanted everyone who may come across this post to be captivated once again by the WORK done for us through the MERCY of the Son of God and resolve to remain faithful to the vows, he/she made in the waters of baptism to remain focused on God, always seeking his face.
The closer we get to Him daily, the more we see his light pointing us to the holiness of God and showing us how we are living the life that has been ransomed. His mercy shines in our darkness to help us realise how fallen we had been and reveals to us how much we need salvation. This happens in the believer’s life daily.
As we become intimate with him, we will see sin in ourselves, we will become convicted by them, and have the amazing privilege of repenting and being cleansed if we are truly seeking and thirsting after his righteousness.
(3) I wanted to remind us that it is all about Jesus Christ the Son of the Living God, that we should seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness
Knowing the Lord and being born again is not all about
our WANTS. It is all about truly knowing Him and establishing a quality personal relationship with Him.

WHAT HE DID FOR ALL HUMANKIND:
More than two thousand years ago, Jesus walked this earth and in a very spectacular way and changed the culture around.
He is the perfect sacrifice that willingly endured the shameful death on the cross.
He took upon himself the punishment we deserved for all the despicable sins we committed.
He was crucified, he died and was buried, three days after, he resurrected from the dead and became alive again.
With the above, Jesus neutralised the power of sin and death over our lives.
Anyone who accepts him will no longer be bound by the power of sin and has eternity awaiting him/her in heaven.
HE CAME because of our sins. As it is written, “there is none righteous, no not one.” Romans 3:10
HE DIED to pay for our sins, “but he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and by his stripes we are healed.” Isaiah 53: 3-5
“But God commendeth his love towards us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.” Romans 5:8&9
“In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sin”. Colossians 1: 14
HE AROSE to keep us saved eternally. “wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them”. Hebrews 7:25
“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.”
John 10: 27&28 “And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this is in his Son.” 1John 5:11
WHAT MUST I DO?
YOU MUST REPENT: Admitting you are guilty, that you cannot do anything to save or help yourself, and that you need Jesus Christ. “I tell you, Ney: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.” Luke 13:3
YOU MUST FORSAKE YOUR OLD WAYS:
“Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither
are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.” Isaiah. 55:7&8
YOU MUST ACKNOWLEDGE THAT IT IS NOT BY YOUR OWN WORKS THAT YOU ARE SAVED:
“Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us.” Titus 3:5a
YOU MUST BELIEVE IN THE SON OF GOD:
“But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.” Romans 4:5
YOU MUST TRUST: Putting your complete faith in Jesus Christ to save you is the key.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
“He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; and being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.” Romans 4:20&21
“To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which beliveth in Jesus.” Romans 3:26
“Therefore, we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.” Romans 3:28
YOU MUST MAKE UP YOUR MIND NOW:

That I am nothing without Jesus Christ.
I am a nobody without His Mercy, Love, Strength, Power, Grace and Favour.
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Phil. 4:13
WHAT IS YOUR DECISSION?
(A) I CHOOSE TO TRUST JESUS AS MY SAVIOUR
“He that believeth on him is not condemned.” John 3:18a
“For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation”. Romans 10:10
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans
10:13
(B) I CHOOSE TO REJECT JESUS AND REMAIN ON MY OWN WAY APPLYING MY OWN WISDOM
“But he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed
in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” John 3:18b
“And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the
lake of fire.” Revelation 20:15
YOU MUST MAKE YOUR CHOICE NOW!
HIS INVITATION: He calls us to a total transformation, taking on the likeness of Christ.

This is the best message needed by every living soul that wants to be eternally in Heaven with God.
